Sevierville Fire Department Named Safety Partner of the Year

The Sevierville Fire Department has been recognized as a "Safety Partner of the Year" by Children's Hospital in Knoxville. The award was presented for the department's continued efforts to improve child safety by conducting child car seat safety inspections and installations.

"We take the safety of our children seriously and our firefighters know firsthand the difference that properly installed car safety seats can make," said SFD Chief Matt Henderson.

Firefighters who have been certified to perform inspections and installations schedule free events throughout the year, as well as offering these services at the main SFD station downtown on Prince Street and Station 2 on Collier Drive (please call in advance for a free appointment; 865-453-9276).
