The City of Sevierville Police Department, in partnership with Walgreen’s store #06609 at 119 Forks of the River Parkway, collected over 70 pounds of unwanted, unused and expired drugs on Saturday, October 28, 2017.

As a full-time partner with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), the City of Sevierville Police Department (SPD) partnered with Walgreen’s in the 14th National DEA Drug Take Back Initiative. A total of approximately 72.71 pounds of drugs were collected.

“We appreciate our community for their awareness of the potential misuse of prescription drugs,” said SPD Chief Don Myers. After collection, all drugs are destroyed by incinerator and any plastics received are recycled.

In addition to drug take back events, citizens may drop-off drugs at the SPD Drug Take Back receptacle any time or day of the week. The service is free and anonymous. The following drugs are accepted:
• Tout grenn ki lach ak poud.
• Medikaman likid yo aksepte sèlman nan anbalaj sele.
• Medikaman ak sida sele (sètadi pwovizyon pou dyabetik, mèt, elatriye)
Depatman an pa kapab pou moman sa a aksepte sereng oswa lòt kalite atik dwòg. Nenpòt moun ki gen kesyon ka kontakte Lt. Ken Garner nan 865.868.1753 oswa imèl nan Adrès kouryèll sa a te protégés de spambots. Ou bezwen JavaScript pèmèt wè li..
